Oh boy do I love Marimekko textiles! But I need your help. My Marimekko klt:fabric stash has drastically depleted and I am in need of more. I have a klt:plushie project in mind and was on the search for some Marimekko textile deals last night. Being a small biz means my budget is tight - so I can only get 1 or 2 different designs. Here are four that I found deals on. Do you have a favorite that you can see some klt:creations in? I keep changing my mind and needed some input. Thanks in advance! Look forward to hearing your thoughts....
I love Marimekko too.
ReplyDeleteThose two greens would look great together. Is that a small-imaged Melooni? one ... rather than the one with the very large ovals (make sense?). You might loose the effect of that fabric on small projects.
I like the houses ... I think Unikko has been done to death.
Any help? Probably not.
3 & 4 for me.
ReplyDeleteOoh tricky. It depends on the scale I think. I've always loved 3, but out of these...1 would be nice to compliment your embroidery drawings, but then again the blockiness of 4 would make a great contrast, if the scale is quite small. Not very helpful really am I? I'm sure you'll do a fine job with whichever you choose!
ReplyDeleteSplendid fabrics! I vote 1&2!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful choices Kristin. I agree with Helen. Really depends on the scale of your plushies. I find 1,2 & 4 to be gender neutral while 3 is really for girls. Whichever ones you pick, I'm sure the end product will be gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOoh fun! I like 1 the best in general and it seems it might work well for your winged creatures but maybe not a punchy for smaller areas. I really like 3 and 4 for slug bottoms and other smallish accents.
ReplyDeleteMy eye is really drawn to #1, but I can see slug tummies in #2.
ReplyDelete#4 and #1.
ReplyDelete#1 for sure. I like #3 too, it's fun and happy. 2 and 4 are a little heavy and dark.
ReplyDeleteI vote 1 and 4 ...
ReplyDeleteYou all are so great! Thanks for your input..... :)
